    Rivian doesn’t have its own battery technology or motors. This is going to be an issues for Rivian as they are more reliant on outside companies. Lucid developed and produces its own battery packs, BMS, and motors. LG chem provides batteries for Lucid and is building a battery manufacturing facility 39 miles away in Queen Creek AZ. Construction of the factory, with a planned annual capacity of 11 GWh, is scheduled to start in the second quarter of 2022, with mass production beginning in the second half of 2024. Perhaps Bear can film the LG chem site once a month

    Looks like the upper parking area for Lucid vehicles is empty except for 4 cars which suggests that they have completed most Dream Edition cars which had incomplete parts. They can now ramp up less complex Lucid vehicles

    The Rivian CEO said recently the upcoming battery shortage will greatly surpass the chip shortage. Maybe not a great time to invest in EV's. I sold half my position in Lucid today.

    Glad to see car haulers there loading up. I know they are still having to work to get shipping handled. I got mine last week. Shipping from factory to service center went well but then there was trouble getting a smaller trailer to bring the car to me and another to someone in the same city. No driver, so a service center guy ended up towing the trailer himself. He confirmed that the delivery pace is really picking up.
