I would maybe try to get permission to
Fly over stadium with tiny whoop

Why would they ban drones when they have a problem with motorcycles causing accidents?

Hello, I am a DJI user and I was wondering if the app that you guys were talking about was available in the U.S. in order to secure any sensitive data? If you could let me know that would be amazing and if not I understand. Thank you very much for your time.

Plus the person got a drone through the NFL security. That’s an issue as well. Audiences usually need bag checks and some require clear bags at a game

Does anyone know the name of this app?
And when will it be released?

Old school before air driers we keep the tanks bled
And then add a little alcohol
And if your frozen brake the air line at the compressor
About 4 oz dose the job give it a few minutes to work through

Cause a frozen brake pedal will get your attention

And I’ll bet your pop has had this experience back in the day

I’m sure not only will he get investigated by FAA but the NFL will have serious problems with copyright infringement laws.

Thanks for the short update. The longer ones are good from time-to-time but not every week. I am hoping they fine the guy who filmed the NFL game. This makes us all look bad. Not only that but it was such amateur drone work that it was hard to watch. I downloaded it and watched it rather than give him view time. This person does not seem to be a responsible person based on the content of their channel. He also removed all the comments that many of us had made criticizing him. I have a copy of the video but didn't think of taking a screenshot of the comments. The FAA must enforce a heavy fine and not just a slap on the wrist or it will hurt us all.

I wonder if stadium issue will be decided by the courts if this becomes a criminal prosecution. And don't forget the civil actions by the NFL that own the rights to the video distribution.

I wonder if Care Refresh insurance is still valid if you are using a 3rd party software secure app. I don't wonder enough to read the contract, but the fact that DJI binds the drone and controller for fly-away insurance makes me think they would also demand that you be using their fly apps.

While flying under that security app would is the that security app would it not void your DJI warranty if something was to happen

Question regarding the Airhub app. If you are flying the drone with this app as implied on the video is the dji geozone feature still functioning?

The PERSON who fly this drone over the Bengals stadium/ game is a COMPLETE ASSHOLE and I hope the FAA finds him / here and slaps a BIG fine on him / her and maybe even some jail time. this person just makes it harder for us who follow the rules.

Huh…will I be able to fly my mavic 2 on my android now or are they pulling an Apple and moving on to better drones before we can even recover from the purchase of the previous generation of drones. Apple is predatory with that. Is DJI pulling a similar move? Go 4 needs to be fixed or replaced

It seems to me that (from what I've read just recently) one can easily add a VPN subscription to their WIFI and be "undetectable" by snoops and hackers. It provides a "tunnel connection" that can't be seen between the router and the smart device. The subscriptions range around $11-12.00/mo. But, if It'd DJI's software that leaks; Ya got me!😄

Ha! I call foul! Install a third party app to collect the data and keep it from going elsewhere BUT instead store it on their servers. Hmmm… how about not store any data and let the pilot decide if anything is uploaded to a cloud storage site. What is being collected anyway other than what can be synced with AirMap, Aloft, etc…

What data is China accessing (or believed to be accessing) from drones? Would it be flight telemetry, digital imaging, or something else?

During any sporting events there are always TFR's in place, I guarantee this person flying the drone over and into the stadium knows this… what he did is not only highly illegal but also extremely dangerous. I'm sorry to say this but I truly hope the FAA throws at least half the book at him if not the whole book.

I understand the use of the app to prevent flight data going back to China but without using the DJI app how will you be able to unlock no-fly zones? I'm currently in a project that required FAA approval and requires DJI to unlock the drone.

I mentioned on one of Haye’s posts that it is good to call out the dangerous operators for flying over an NFL game, but this is also a chance for us as an industry to highlight positive examples of when drones have been used safely and in collaboration with these organizations for really cool and good uses. Thanks for the show.

I hope the NFL incident will bring knowledge to the general public. Right now someone can go out and buy a drone and be up in the air totally oblivious of their responsibilities. Not legally for sure, but the ignorance is out there and it is clear that it is not that uncommon. Even legally someone can be in the air with a lot less knowledge and training than one is required to drive a car. Yet both can cause injury and death. I have no idea what knowledge or certification, if any, the person who did that possessed. But I would like to think that the vast majority of people who knew that they aren't allowed to do that wouldn't do it. I know it should be common sense, but clearly the person who first came up with the phrase "common sense" didn't understand that it was anything but common, otherwise they would have never used the word common.

As for the alternate app to fly a DJI drone, I would have loved to hear if one is still required to get DJI's pointless authorization to fly in certain areas. Sure it is a good heads up, but you should already know before you fly that you are near restricted airspace. All it does is cause confusion and extra distraction. It is why I will never buy another DJI drone unless that is removed.

The trouble with the stadium incident is that it puts a bad light on those of us who take the regulations seriously. TV companies and newspapers will make a meal of it and then groups will be pushing for tighter regulations. It is the law abiding majority who then suffer. Rant over!

Please don't be that guy… I mean come on… even if this guy claims he didn't know, it's like Oh, why didn't I think of flying my drone over a football game… then I can watch the game up close without paying for tickets… man what a concept 👏 👌… yeah I really hope they catch up with this guy and fine him. And enough to make him reconsider doing something this careless in the future and hopefully make sure he shares how much he got fined and the trouble he found himself in. I really don't wand to see this anymore… we all have enough to worry about. Love your content to by the way!!

Great report as always, nice and short. I'd like to see the new app and how it compares to the DJI app for performance. The idiot that flew over the stadium will get more attention that the many drones that have saved lives. And of course "monkey see monkey do" just watch.

That DJI app thing is definitely a step forward. I hope they make something of it. With the national and especially local political situation, and the fact that race has suddenly become part of every prosecutorial decision these days, it will be interesting to see if anything happens to the Bengal's flyer.

I saw the video of the drone flying over the Bengals vs raiders game at paul brown bad move in my opinion, not only would this person would be in trouble with the FAA they would also be in trouble with the NFL as well because of copyright laws as well
