March 19, 2022 at 11:25 amDang. The Hero 10 looks better than all of them. I saw a couple instances where I think the dynamic range could have been better on the 10 but it was negligible. The 10 seems a lot darker in low light but has less noise. Weird. The 10 is pretty sweet. Glad I got one.

March 19, 2022 at 11:25 amThis is the only video you need to watch if you are in the decision making process. After all it's the image you get matters the most.
What I'm shocked is the Insta360 and OSMO Action are just far far far away from GoPro 10 and 9's level. The 360 lacks the details, the trails is just a yellow blur, while in GoPro you can clearly see each individual stones, and it's the same trail. The OSMO, however, the stabilization is just a non-exist, I just can't believe my eyes! I don't think it's much better than your iPhone (not even the latest ones).
All due respect to the marketing bullshit and all the "influencers" and "youtubers" who get paid, what's in my mind was that the Insta360 and OSMO are on-par with the GoPro. But from this video, I don't see they are anywhere near the GoPro. The Insta360 is so-so at everywhere, but is acceptable. If that's all I got, I'm OK with it. However, the OSMO is just a junk. And I nearly bought that rubbish years ago just because all the marketing bs. (glad I didn't!)
The GoPro 10 and 9 are almost identical, aside from the specs and framerate bump, 10 looks slightly better at most times, but it's weird that I found in some scenario, I like the 9 better. I don't believe if for a blind-test, a normal audience/viewer could tell between 9 and 10. After watching this, now I'm a happy GoPro 10 user!

Providing current events in the world United States does not go to war with China if we go to war with China no more group GoPro. Don't waste your money on resolution buy it now while you can that's really what you want. You really should start storing up Edibles water and things you need to survive we're headed for rough times in 2022.

Beautiful mountains… Clearly Hero 10 is very close to Hero 9 if you don't use 5.3k. 17:49 : Hero10 2.7k/240 is NOT better than Hero9 1080P/240 ! Strange is that boost 4 on Hero 10 is WORSE than Boost 3 on Hero 9 ! Clearly for small movements at 13:12… Is it a problem that Hero 9 is in the center of the setup and Hero10 at the end ??? Show us your setup next time please.

Hero9 is warmer in day light, Hero10 warmer with less vibration in day light, 360 is more contrast and vibrant, Osmo is cooler and natural.
Hero 9 is better at night than Hero 10.

I am looking at Hero 10 black vs Insta360 ONE X2 (other recommendations are welcome), budget up to 700$ usd. My application: Home videos, bicycle videos, walk videos and longboard (skateboard) videos and my target resolution is now 4k. Never had a 360 cam before, I am aware there is an extra workflow step I need to do. So what I look for is: clarity and contrast, nice stabilization too. Low light performance is not important, however in cloudy environment must do nice. So — the Hero 10 or the ONE X2 ? (or something else?) I like that Hero 10 have a front screen, but the One X2 will catch me as long as I can see the lens (for vlogging), still cannot decide. Thanks!

March 19, 2022 at 11:25 amthe hero 10 is os many levels better than the Insta360 OneR. Notice on the bike ride on the mountain, how the Hero10 video is so, so much clearer in details and wider compare to the almost blurry and much narrower video from the Insta360.

March 19, 2022 at 11:25 amThat mountain trail is so buttery-smooth compared to everything I ride on I'm thinking any footage I get will be awful regardless of camera. It's a shame, because some of the trails I ride are crazy. Steep cliffs on one or both sides with a couple of inches margin of error before a 1000' drop. The footage alone would be handy for the coroner. "Oh, look, he zigged when he should have zagged. I didn't know a grown man could scream like a little girl so convincingly."
