March 5, 2022 at 5:25 amThe two obvious reasons for DJI to not include AT in the Mini2 are 1) the drone has basically no obstacle avoidance and b) there have to be enough differentiators for their marketing department to work with to sell the bigger sister models. By and large though, the Mini2 is probably still the best bang for the buck when it comes to drones, and with the upcoming SDK it will be even better (I'm hoping for programmable GPS waypoints in the not so distant future…)

March 5, 2022 at 5:25 amTo me I think that there is one simple reason, the drone can/could active track but why give the mini 2 the feature as the lack of the feature may be a selling point for someone to buy the Air 2 instead thus spending more money with DJI, it's all about marketing and up selling customers to a more expensive model. Simple marketing in just the same way that base model phones don't have all the features of the flagship because then nobody would buy the flagship

I then asked lychee when they thought they were going to have the software ready and they said beta version by mid-January! If it's like all the other versions, you're going to have waypoints and all the follow me modes! Woohoo

March 5, 2022 at 5:25 amClose to the perfect drone? Crap flight times, no obstacle avoidance, no REAL ActiveTrack, tiny sensor, poor wind resistance, no third-party support (SDK), etc. It may be the best "toy drone" but for anyone remotely serious, its just not there by a long shot.

I understand the idea that active tracking can cause a crash if not careful, but many things we do with our drones can cause crashes. Thank you for the information –Maybe DJI will listen to comments or maybe they could include a disclaimer in software update with explanation of pitfalls.FabianFitandTravel

March 5, 2022 at 5:25 amOnce I installed DJI Fly app on my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. For some reason, I reset my phone. But in my phone memory the DJI Fly app's folders were not deleted. After resetting I installed again the app and fly my DJI Mini 2. But no flight record files were not recorded in FlightRecord folder. Now what can I do or how can I delete all folders and reinstall DJI Fly app.
