Very helpful insights, thank you!!! Slowly working my way into FPV so these tips will come in handy! The beginning was a little too drawn out for me however, I'd recommend cutting out 15-30secs, just because we get the general idea within the first 30secs and you run the risk of losing people's attention by milking the intro, at least that was the case for me! All in all, great video, brilliant info that I'll definitely be using so, cheers mate🤙🏽🙏🏽
Thanks for sharing! Beautiful video footage. My trouble, before I could buy this drone, is I wear big bifocal glasses and most people say that is a problem. Some people say there are corrective lenses that will fit in the goggles for that problem but I never have found anything about them. Take care. Tom
Many believe that the djif drone can't be used to cinematic shots but this video says differently. Well there are other dreams that may be tailored to cinematic shots think a lot of outcome depends on the pilot and how good you can fly
Slap the camera in manual every time I think.. even without the ND filters. Otherwise your exposure will go up and down a lot and will look bad. Especially if you wanna do some speed ramping or fast forwarding some footage in your edit.
How are you liking the footage? I'm thinking of slapping a go pro on this bad boy because the footage from the fpv is so so. It's not bad but not amazing either. I hope they upgrade the camera on the version 2 if they ever make one.
@ 06:35 Image roll correction should only be used in normal and sport mode when you try to do smooth cinematic filming. Always turn off in manual. It's not only the crop that changes but it will try to apply stabilization when you do rolls left and right in manual mode making footage very blurry and can make you sick if you spin around a lot doing flips. Basically it tries to fake a 3 axis gimbal like on the Mavic. I didn't really know what this setting was until I saw in another video. 🙂
@ 05:55 for the distortion correction. I actually keep it on for both goggles and aircraft. I was framing an epic bridge between 2 fjords in Norway and because I had it on aircraft only the view inside the goggles was wider so I framed the shot accordingly. When I looked at the footage on the computer, I saw that I cut out the far ends of the bridge because the image was cropped in. I was fairly new to flying the FPV at that point so I didn't think of it. So I turn it on for both when I shoot cinematic stuff and I put it on aircraft only when I just fly acro for fun. That's my 2 cents. It's just gonna help you frame the shots better.
